This year, our sponsors were recognized in a program book that was distributed at the festival, and is available online here.
Sponsor logos were displayed on our website here.
Major sponsors were recognized on our road race tee shirt, printed by Wareham’s own Soft as a Grape. This year we had 175 registrants (we had 124 runners in 2018). This year’s cool shirt design is sure to be worn proudly by participants.
From early February, we began mentioning sponsors on our Facebook page. The page has some 900 likes, and the two posted events (the festival itself and the 5K race) reached 52,800 Facebook users.
Our media sponsor is Edible South Shore/Southcoast, and they promoted our early sponsors in their spring edition – view the ad here. They’ve been with us since our first year and always give us great placement in the magazine, along with promotions in their email newsletter and Facebook pages.
The poster we display throughout the region lists sponsors (see thumbnail at left), and major sponsors can get one or two with their name highlighted in red.
We’re proud to say that the Wareham Oyster Festival is funded almost entirely by private sponsors (but thank you, Mass Cultural Council and Wareham Cultural Council), and you enable us to offer this fun, free event that brings positive attention to our community, raises awareness of our local shellfish resource, and kicks off what we hope will be an enormously prosperous summer season for all of you.
